Mia Pearlman: Sculptor and political activist. Mia spearheaded the founding of our group and created the logo and branding. She’s written issue sheets, press letters and our mass emails for Money Talks, and works primarily on strategy, grassroots outreach, messaging, and managing our Facebook page (when she isn’t making witty memes about NY politics for TBNY’s social media). A post-election facebook post she wrote last November about “her America” on Pantsuit Nation was shared, liked and commented on thousands of times. When not working on political issues, she makes site specific cut paper installations and public sculptures in galleries and museums around the world. Her persuasive proposal won her a $1.2 M project for Liberty Mutual’s Boston headquarters. http://miapearlman.com
Lisa DellAquila: Attorney, Advocate, Writer and Community Organizer based in Northern Manhattan. Lisa is our unofficial spokesperson and educates local groups about state government affairs with her travelling presentation. Lisa works primarily on strategy, grassroots outreach and manages our twitter account. She’s a former litigator at a premier global law firm, and prior to that was a law clerk for New York’s highest court. Her expertise is breaking down complicated legal, legislative and political issues into persuasive and cogent content so that the general public can easily access and influence their elected officials.
Susan Martin: Business Coach, life long entrepreneur and daughter of a New York based 1960’s civil rights activist. Susan uses her marketing expertise to promote progressive issues. Susan developed our website and works on strategy and internal organization and communication. She is an advisor at Astia, an organization which helps to guide, connect and fund innovative women led ventures around the globe. Her thoughts on entrepreneurship landed her a spot in a series in the NY Times, mentions in several business books and interviews on radio shows targeted towards business owners. Susan blogs about the insanity of running a small business. https://business-sanity.com/.
