Governor Cuomo has proposed a tuition-free scholarship for families making under $125,000 at all public universities in the state.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Governor Cuomo’s “Excelsior Scholarship,” supported by Sen. Bernie Sanders, isn’t mentioned in the Republicans’ budget, which means they rejected it. Even worse, the IDC’s budget explicitly denies the proposal, yet they call themselves progressives. Real progressives wouldn’t stop progress.
